Signs of Life

Visited this little 12th century church in the village of Blatherwycke in Northamptonshire today. It's a little off the beaten track and was locked so we couldn't look inside. If you look carefully you can see some little snowdrops in flower at the base of this lichen covered headstone. It's the first signs of the season changing and always a welcome site after Christmas :)
A lovely composition and great textures

@sstcowan it's not unusual to find snowdrops in early Jan especially in sheltered locations.
