I believe this is a False widow spider in the house today. My daughter found it she was rather less impressed than I was!

Excellent shot, Richard if you want to keep spiders out door's then when conkers are about get some and put one in the corner of each room and that will cure the problem, I was told this by an elderly guy I knew about 20 odd years ago and I laughed my socks off GULP!!! it worked for us Jan is scared of them.
