This bridge named after Spanish conquistador Hernando de Soto who visited in 1541 is on the Mississippi River. Located in the city known as the cradle of the musical “Blues” movement and some say, the birthplace of rock. My family and I stood on sacred rock “n” roll ground knowing full well that many sunsets were admired here by the likes of Elvis, B.B. King and Johnny Cash.
In the home of the blues, this view was the start of our pilgrimage to Graceland, Sun Studio, and the “true” birthplace of rock “n” roll ~ Beale Street, (depending on who you ask).
