An early wildflower..

This short, thick bush becomes covered in these cute little fluffy flowers. They are a standout in the forest before anything else flowers.

@beverley365 Hi Beverley. I'm not sure of its scientific name but it is locally called a "Snow Bush" :)

Thanks for your nice comments about this cute little guy. I got organised and looked him up in the "Flora of the Granite Belt" - a wonderful book put together by the local wildflower consortium. It's official name is Leucopogon melaleucoides" - commonly known as the Snow Bush. This photo just shows one tiny little spot on the overall showy bush. Cheers Rob
