I am filling the gap from yesterday as I had my foot operated so was in no fit state to either take a photo or post one. Thankfully, it has gone alright and the surgeon was able to complete the job in one go! He said that the big toe joint had disintegrated so it was no wonder I had been in so much pain. I have got a big boot to wear which enables me to walk on my heel with the aid of crutches so I won't be going out for a walk for quite some time but hopefully, when it's not so painful I might be able to get some shots through the kitchen window. I have to get upstairs on my bottom so I have to plan what I need and get it in one hit as its rather difficult but I expect I shall get used to that. I have to go back to see the Surgeon in 2 weeks. He is such a nice chap that I feel very confident with what he has done.
The chaffinch was taken on my last day of freedom when I had 2 feet to walk on along Wood Lane.
Thanks for all your kind comments and for your good wishes for my speedy recovery. This community is such a caring one and I feel blessed to have good friends.
