I can't resist candid shots when I am out and about so I just had to take a quick shot of this lady as she got into the lift. It's thanks to Taffy for lending me her 18-105mm lens. I have missed this lens so much on this trip.
Thanks to everyone for commenting and showing an interest in my project. It is very much appreciated and we shall be flying home tomorrow. We have had a marvellous time with our friends in Chicago especially Taffy but it has been great catching up with Andie and Junko.
Quite a "getup" outfit she's wearing. Fun capture...... Yes, I also like candid shots, especially when I can catch them when the subject iisn't aware of it. (My 18MM to 270mm lens is good for this!)
That's the only way I can photograph people. If they are "in public" you dont have to have written permission to use, unless you take a real candid shot. But if they are just doing thier own thing. I got some great shots of an old fellow yesterday who was paddleboarding, falling off constantly getting up again, catching awave and chuckling away to himself. It was hilarious. This lady has too many layers -- really cold or shoplifting in mind??
Wow -- you had to move fast to get this! I'm so glad the week was a good one for you, and that my lens could come to your rescue (but too little, too late -- if only I'd thought of it last Tuesday!!). I love this closeup -- she looks a little wild, doesn't she?
