Look who's been exploring the new home made nest box
I do hope he nests in there. It should be nice and snuggly and warm as Steve left a bit of wood over the front so that it would be less drafty. Robins don't like nesting in a box with just a little hole like the blue tits and they usually nest on top of one of our blue tit boxes hidden in the ivy. This one was put onto the side of our garage at the back so I can see it from my kitchen window. I shall be watching the comings and goings for signs of egg laying and I did put out the nesting wool for the birds this morning as the blue tits have been in and out of my camera nest box and also the one on the tree. Fingers crossed that we exceed our usual nestlings.
Thanks for getting yesterday's ducks on PP and for all your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated. I am off to Camera Club tonight and I have entered 3 prints into the Reflections competition so fingers crossed that they do well. My best one was taken in Chicago and is one that I have entered for tonight.
Lovely capture, it’s nice to watch, we had one nest in an Italian wall vase a few years ago and fledged7 young, it was only 2 feet away from the back door but she didn’t seem to mind. Hope she chooses a comfy box!
