My friend's dogs

These dogs are vimarans (not sure how you spell it) but they are very well cared for to the point of being spoilt! They were looking forward to a run in the fields. I think they are brother and sister.
Yes, Weimaraners, handsome dogs. I think maybe they would need more exercise than I could give them!

@quietpurplehaze Thanks for the spelling Hazel. I should have googled it first so that I spelt it correctly.
@sabanford Thanks Shirley

There's an interesting red area around the eyes - makes them have a slightly stunned expression.

@busylady yes I think they are quite unusual - their faces seem to have a rather cross expression somehow

@quietpurplehaze I agree with Hazel - beautiful but need tiring out! We met a puppy on that had been crossed with a Great Dane once - enormous and crazy!!

@rosiekind I think it took me a while to get to grips with the spelling after I first heard of these dogs - think the name is German......

@judithg The first time I met a Weimaraner was on holiday in France and it was kept on a rope in the kitchen by Madame when guests first came in. It was a very friendly dog but oh so huge!

a wonderful shot of the Weimaraners, they are very handsome dogs- i like their light coloured eyes. Its a German name and and German breed Weimar is a city in Germany. They are used as gundogs for hunting and their size has to do with the fact that the breed belongs to the family of the Great Danes
