Yesterday afternoon, school children around the UK went on strike to protest against climate change. It is part of a wider international movement started by Greta Thunberg, a 15 year old who missed school to protest that the Swedish Government was not following the Paris Climate Agreement.
I was in Westminster, and took these photos as I crossed Parliament Square (this was much easier than usual because all traffic was at a standstill!) I used to work in Westminster and witnessed a lot of protests. From what I saw yesterday, this was one of the most well-behaved, so well done campaigners, and thank you!
