This photo was taken with a Holga 120N film camera. For those not familiar with Holgas, they were mass produced in Japan in the 1980’s. Other than the two metal pieces that hold the back to the front and the tripod screw, they are entirely plastic, including the 60mm lens. You have two aperture choices, sunny (11f) or cloudy (8f). One shutter speed, 1/100, and 4 focus zones, one person, three people, seven people or mountain. Quality control is almost nonexistent. Most people tape up their Holgas with gaff tape to counteract the light leaks. I’m bummed because I have no light leaks. I do have the omnipresent vignette action common to all Holgas. So basically you never know what you’ll end up. Which delights me to no end.
