Found this in amongst the fire (braai) wood, decided it would be far better suited for photographing than for burning!

Good idea - much better for photographing! From the thumbnail, I thought this was an ice-berg, and I thought "whoooa, where's Sal been for the weekend?"! I like this a lot Sal!

@kloud I thought it would be so easy to get a decent shot but no such luck. Didn't like the colours (and that 's what originally caught my eye!) hence the black and white. Have stashed it for further experimentation!

@steeler Howard I think it could be rooikrans as that is what the woodcutters are currently removing from the valley. It is also a very red or russet colour which I failed miserably to capture hence the B&W shot :-)
