The pair of Spotted Eagle Owls are still around. The male was sitting on top of this pole calling to his mate who was nearby. We could hear her answer but couldn't see her. One of the only ways to identify the different sexes in these owls is by their call!
This is not a black and white conversion, but late evening and rather stormy weather!

Beautiful capture, lovely silhouette. All thet is needed to complete the picture, is a big full moon behind the owl (but I guess the moon was just behind the clouds :))
@ericdibosco Eric now wouldn't that just be amazing! Unfortunately the moon is but a tiny sliver rather high in the sky and regularly obscured by clouds! I'm sure one could create a cool composite though using two or more different pictures. Thanks for planting that seed in my mind........ :-)
