A Womble? by salza

A Womble?

It's not so noticeable in this picture but this dog reminded me of a Womble.
Great shot and expression.

@shepherdmanswife no Chantal he is not. He's one of my clients. I operate a grooming palour so I spend my days with dogs (and occasionally cats and horses).

@salza have you still got your 3 dogs? I've lost track during the past year

@shepherdmanswife yes I still have my three. They are all getting old, my youngest is just over 8 years old.

@salza I'm down to one 11 year old and am trying to rescue a GSD or GSD X breed from a rescue centre at the moment. Trouble is I have 2 cats and its not easy to find a rescue that likes cats and will get on with our old girl

@shepherdmanswife I think when the time comes I will adopt a rescue GSD or GSD X. I see you say that you now only have Tia. Sorry but I would like to ask after Cody. Did something happen to him?

@salza He became nervous of everything which resulted in him nipping people, He had been really bad with other dogs but when he started biting people I decided to let him go back to the breeder who owns his mum, dad and one of his brothers. I had tried everything I could too alleviate his anxieties but I was stressing him out with our lifestyle which is going on day trips to villages and towns, going in cafes and pubs and doing long walks where we'd meet lots of other dogs. He had pulled me over and dragged me along the ground as I held onto his lead as he tried to get to another dog. I went to regular training classes and behaviour classes but to no avail. He is happier back where he came from as they don't street walk the dogs as they own land and run a doggy daycare and dog walking business where the dogs are let to run on private land. Cody is fine with a pack of dogs, its just when one on one. He's happy now but my heart is still aching. He was so adorable in the home, just a nightmare on a dog walk.

@shepherdmanswife oh Chantal how how horrid for you and Neil. It's not nice nor easy trying to deal with a reactive dog. It's good to know that he is settled in and happy in his new home. I hope that you manage to find and adopt a wonderful dog.

@salza I hope I find another dog soon as Cody has left a big hole in my life. I miss him so much, but know I did the right thing after trying for almost 16 months to help him with his fears. He is happier now. The breeder sens=ds me photos of him playing with his brother. She says they are thick as thieves!
