This gift was given to a few of us upon the retirement departure of a beloved colleague. She gave me the most kindest compliments before she left. She told me that if I was her manager, she wouldn't be retiring. I have kept that in the back of my head over the years, especially when I was applying for and ultimately obtaining my new role.
