I passed these lovely ladies on the way home from my walk on Tuesday. The little lane in the top left picture was known as Chicken Alley as the lady who lived at the top of the lane had lots of hens and the children loved to stop and watch them when we walked to the shops or to school. She died many years ago but just around the corner there is now this rather grand 'chookies' house with these rather grand hens! Very colourful and very friendly!

1. Fresh eggs....we do get some lovely local ones.
2. Memories and little lanes
3. The different people we meet when we are walking......makes life so much more meaningful than quickly driving from a to b!
