Tuning in at the Music Hall by sarah19

Tuning in at the Music Hall

The lovely cello player was the first of the orchestra on stage when we attended a performance of Handel's Messiah this evening. We were in the 2nd row and I couldn't resist taking this photo. The building was refurbished recently and feels much lighter.
We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, so many familiar lines and tunes; the Aberdeen Bach Choir and the Aberdeen Choral Society had practised together for this event and the professional soloists were impressive.
The cellist was so dynamic and looked like she was totally absorbed and enjoying it all. As we left the Music Hall we spotted her outside and it was lovely to say how much we enjoyed it all. 'You like you were absolutely loving every minute of it!' I told her. 'How could you do anything else with that!' she replied with a big smile.
Three good things
1. A good sleep this afternoon.
2. Music....I love the big, uplifting, classical pieces but wish I knew more about them all.
3. Hot chocolate after reaching home 😊
This is lovely. As a musician myself, I always enjoy seeing music shots, especially just before and just after a performance. Sounds like you are feeling better. A good sleep sounds very good!

Beautiful view looking up onto the stage...that is a magnificent organ! Sounds just the thing at Christmas. I love some classical music but am not knowledgeable at all. I listen to Classic FM in the car but I forget what the pieces are called mostly.
