We had a wee outing to Castle Fraser today. The little guys enjoyed the swings beside the picnic table where we had lunch. Sad to see that the lovely adventure playground was closed after being significantly damaged by Storm Arwen. But there were other lovely areas to explore and Jenn was amazed at the variety of trees growing in the park. Further round we came across the orchard, which I have not been aware of. Some of the trees are quite mature and lots of apples and other fruit growing well in the sheltered environment.
Then on to the walled garden with a flourishing vegetables section, beautiful banks of flowers and hedges, and some lovely deck chairs to sit for a while.
Back home David had been working online with a colleague, resting his sore foot , and Seanair had been dealing with some weeds...best done with no little guys around.
Such a lovely warm day!
Three good things
1. Good news for travel next week, only three days of quarantine now needed in Hong Kong.
2. Delicious potatoes from Castle Fraser garden for dinner. They were bagged up in a trailer and an honesty box for payment.
3. Some games after dinner and earlier to bed.
@jamibann Thank you for your lovely comment. I have a new phone with a very clever camera, so I can enjoy 'noticing' and letting the camera do the rest!
It's a lovely estate to visit and great coffee shop in the castle, though not open every day.
