Tried my hand (literally) at light painting again. This is actually a composite of two shots: first, I held a wand pointed at an LED candle and used a flashlight to paint light onto my hand and the wand. Then I used a second LED candle to create a ball of light. A bit of photoshop magic, and, "lumos!"
I tried to do this earlier in the evening with one kid holding the wand, another kid holding the candle, and me painting with the flashlight, but nobody had steady enough hands. I suppose it's hard to hold something still for several seconds when you're giggling and threatening to duel your sister with wands.
So I had to retake them. I had a vision, and I was going to make it work!
