"The wand chooses the wizard, remember..." Or so says Mr. Ollivander. Far more wands than we will need even if all the invited guests come to the party, but this way any adults helping out can have one too, and there will be plenty for all to choose from. Extra wands could be useful, especially if one turns out to actually be magical!
My free time lately is filled with Halloween costume making and Harry Potter party prep, with little time left over for photography.
