How to Make Your Own Snow Globe
1. Set the scene. ...
2. Glue the toys to the inside of the lid. ...
3. Pour half of the tube of glitter into the bottom of the glass jar. ...
4. Add water to the jam jar, up to the point where the lid screws on. ...
5. Screw the lid on firmly, turn the jam jar upside down and give it a good shake!
Fill the jar with mineral oil, baby oil, or water. The snow or glitter will fall more slowly in the oil. Add crushed egg shell for snow and glitter, if desired. Carefully set the lid (with the scene) onto the full jar and seal it tightly.
Brought to mind the book 'The Angel's Game' a novel by Carlos Ruiz Zafón which I am reading at the moment. Interesting fiction story lent to me by my son. You have created such a lovely picture. Must try that Photoshop application some day.
@peadar When you are born in S A this is how we are used to it.
We enjoy sea side holidays with lots of sun this time of year. I still want to visit my children in the UK to get the feeling of snow at Xmas time.
You are very talented to have made your own snow globe! It's very pretty too. I always have to chuckle when we think Christmas has to have snow world-wide! The "First Christmas" did not have any snow, so why do we think we must have it? smile!
