The last night of our Karoo Tour was at Sutherland, home of SALT (Southern African Large Telescope). Unfortunately our tour leader hadn't planned the tour very well, and the Observatory is closed on Sundays so we didn't get to go in to see the telescope close up, but at least we had a night time shoot
This is fabulous! I cannot imagine going outside and seeing this night sky with so many stars, that's amazing! There is way too much light pollution here where I live.
