Seedy

My mother is still in hospital, almost 3 weeks later. I drive through this intersection every single day on my way to visit her, and have wanted to take a photo simply because the seedy appearance is outside the realms of my sheltered experience. So today I had my camera around my neck (and car doors locked), just in case I had to stop at the traffic light. As luck would have it, the light turned amber as I arrived, so I knew I had time for a quick shot. Once, I even saw a black female person in one of those windows, and I swear she had on nothing but her underwear!
wow! these colors just jump off the page! (Maybe that woman was having a hot flash) I hope your mother is getting better!!

Really sorry to hear your mum is still unwell Desi. Also sorry to hear you feel so unsafe in this neighbourhood. But great building!

@beckyk365 Thanks Becky. Yes, maybe it was a hot flash!
@narayani Thanks Narayani. Not even sure what to think about my Mum and the future. I don't feel unsafe here, but just keep the car doors locked as a precaution - especially as I had my camera pointing out the window. It is a very busy intersection so always lots of people around, but I am conscious that if my camera is in front of my eyes I am not alert to my surroundings at that time, and keeping one's car doors locked is just normal survival anywhere in SA
@777margo Indeed one can't miss this one. For many years, ever since we came to this area, I have wanted to photograph it because of the colour, although early morning would be better because then the left side of the building might be bathed in sunlight instead of shade like it is in the afternoons.
