On top of the world

It has been an incredibly stressful day. In the city just after 7am and in the queue at the Master of the High Court by 7:30am ready for office to open at 8am. Then much rushing around to obtain required documents once I had a letter from the Master's office - then back into the queues. Sometime after lunch we were finally seen, heard, and understood, and my application to overturn the executor named in the will has been submitted. Just had to stop for a few photos on our way home again after all that though.
Sounds like everything turned out OK, but not much fun (except for your stops on the way home of course -- this is beautiful!)

So glad you have had Anne's support through all this. The paperwork is a nightmare and just adds to the stress and grief of losing a loved one. I hope it all gets sorted quickly Desi. The photo is uplifting and full of "new and next"

What stunning landscape! As someone who works in a law office, I can agree the paperwork can be overwhelming. Even though I work with that almost on a daily basis, it can seem insurmountable to the family members who are dealing with the grieving process . One step at a time. I hope your application is approved and you can move forward. My husband is the executor for his father‘s estate so we are in the beginning stages of that process. Hope Anne is going to be there with you for a while longer.

@bf2016 Thanks Barbara. Yes I think all is going to be okay with my Dad's will from over a year ago. Stuff to sort out still for my mother's estate. Sad thing is, so much trouble for so little. They were quite poor all their lives...
@anniesue Thanks Annie-Sue. I will be forever grateful for Anne's companionship and support. She has been amazing, and I am just so glad I get on so well with my brother and sister in law.
@narayani Thanks Narayani. Yes the legal system in place probably is necessary, but it doesn't make it easy. The relief when my documents were finally submitted was so huge I actually started shaking and crying right there in the building ... so the stopping for photos in beautiful spots was necessary. I like your description of "new and next" as that does sum it up perfectly.
@beckyk365 Didn't know before that you worked in a law office - a very knowledgeable and skilled lady! At the moment the process all seems quite daunting to me.
