The Last Lonely Sweet Potato

Not quite "The Last Lonely Eagle" but I discovered this last lonely sweet potato in the veggie drawer with the potatoes, onions, and gem squash, is trying its best to grow some more sweet potatoes.
Interesting image 😄 Is it to be cooked? If you stuck it in a jar of water it will become a rather lush house plant

How sweet of it,... well spoted and nicely captured.

Excellent on black! Have you tried tapping on shot, to view on black before you post ...and see if you prefer it like that?

@narayani What a good idea to stick it in a jar of water. Never thought of that. Will try it and see what happens
@mona65 Thank you
@s4sayer Thanks Margo. I have never tried tapping on the shot before to see it on black -had no idea how to access this feature until you told me yesterday, and certainly didn't know about testing it before posting

Haha! I've done that before. I read somewhere where that potatoes and onions kept longer if you kept them separated. Not sure why.

Hmmmm does that mean we can chose black or white as a background?? I would definitely try growing that, love those heart shaped leaves,

I haven't done it for years Desi but just as I read your reply, I had a memory of toothpicks holding the potato so it's not all in the jar (?does that make sense?!)

@homeschoolmom Gosh I didn't know you were supposed to keep potatoes and onions separated. I have them in this dark basket
@beckyk365 Yes - it does mean you can choose black or white as a background. That is all new to me, but it does make the photo look different
@narayani Okay - that makes sense to put toothpicks around it. I have grown avocados that way (except my little avo tree has died now, at only about 50cm high due to lack of water - I am just not getting around to everything frequently enough with my bucket of water from the shower so there are a few casualties in my garden at the moment!)
