San women

The San people are probably the most marginalised people on earth according to the information boards at !Khwa ttu. The earliest inhabitants of much of Africa, they were hunter gatherers who have been squashed into little pockets, and whose existence is under threat ... they are not black, nor white, nor even coloured. Today we went to !Khwa ttu (pronounced Click-Kwartoo - but I can't say the click with the rest of the word) for the Heritage Day festivities they had arranged to teach us a little of the cultural background of our country. They did some traditional storytelling dance for us, but as they don't wear much clothing I might be banned from social media sites if I post some of the photos.
