Just been to see Don briefly after he emerged from over 5 hours in theatre. Confused and groggy. Lost a lot of blood so they are ordering a transfusion. I left once he knew I was there so they could put up drips etc. Will go back later tonight

I hope the blood has strengthened him and he's a bit more out of the anesthetic and that it's onward and upward from here
