Narayani was right ... I need to focus on the positive now so I made a conscious decision to go out and find a photo again today. The clouds drew me to the harbour, and there I was lucky enough to spot them repairing nets. Apart from the colours and lines that I liked, I felt this was kind of symbolic of me trying to repair the holes in my own life right now. Would have preferred to move myself a few steps to the left as I felt I could get a better composition, but didn't want to risk standing on their net in case it was already repaired up this end
Am reminded of an old saying, 'Our eyes are in the front of our head for a good reason. Let the past rest in peace, move forward and onward, gently and with purpose'.
Great shot Desi. I started my Shuttercal calendar after my mother died and it really helped me look for something beautiful every day, it gave me a positive focus in what was a difficult time.
