My photobuddy said I needed a break, and took me out for pancakes and milkshake this morning at a local little restaurant that has just reopened after being partly smashed in the winter storms. This is the remains of the old jetty from the days of sailing ships when they used to load up goods here from the West Coast to take to Cape Town and gives this little fishing village its name. Laaiplek translates directly into Loading Place
