@anniesue Yes, this one normally is moored with the other two floating in the background and has been a much photographed boat by me in the past - normally as one of three. I have always focused on this one because I like the lighter cyan colour whereas the other two are dark blue and don't make such striking reflections
@ludwigsdiana I imagine it is very tricky painting with the sand - but these subsistence fishermen don't have a means of putting the boat on a trailer to take anywhere else for painting. I think it is just a lot of manhandling to do anything for these guys.
@koalagardens Yes vital work - their lives depend upon keeping their boats in good shape as they are far out to sea without radios etc. through the night in these little boats.
@pattyblue Thanks very much. I took some flower photos today as well, which are probably better artistically, but this just seemed more important as a part of my 365
@narayani Thanks very much. I like looking into other people's lives on 365 so it seemed appropriate to use this photo - although it's not my daily life, it is a normal part of the community near me.
This is brilliant! In the lsle of Man* my old stamping ground, this scene could be seen every day in one circumstance or another.
*The Isle of Man is a small island in the Irish Sea, between Ireland to the West. Scotland, England and Wales are off the East Coast of the Island...and thereafter itâs Europe!
@beckyk365 Thanks very much, Becky. @s4sayer Thank you Margo. And for the interesting information. I seem to recall your family owned an hotel on the Isle of Man?
