So, off with the lads to the match. 170 miles each way and a couple of beers with old friends and relatives before hand.
I'm not allowed to take the D300 into the match so it is my temperamental old Coolpix, and boy was it temperamental today, continually setting F2.8 and giving me shallow dof and burn out when I didn't want it. It has got to go!!
We won the game 2-0 with our new Japanese player and one of our older players both starring.
The top shot is one of the stands packed full, the lower shot is the fans and players celebrating after we scored our second goal.
Sam, Ben and me sang our hearts out and had a great time. We remain top of the league and chasing promotion to the Premier League. With 10 games to go the nerves are starting to jangle!!
We got our hands on our tickets for the big game against our local rivals on April 7th. We cannot wait...
Great images and glad you had a fabulous time! I've always had a soft spot for Southampton since the 70's (ooops showing my age)...when the saints go marching in is now going through my mind lol...ahhhh memories and hope they make it back to the premiership :D and by the way...Utd are now top too lol ;)
@susieb Thanks Susie, so many have a soft spot for The Saints, it always pleases me to hear it though. As a child of the 60s I can remember Paine, Channon et al. and 1976 is ingrained on my mind. Rest in Peace Bobby.
