This shot is of a horse called Big Bucks a few yards from the winning post of the 2012 World Hurdle Race.
In winning this race, Big Bucks equalled the 60 year old British record of a horse called Sir Ken, in winning 16 races in a row.
Big Bucks achievements have been overshadowed a little by the career of Kauto Star, but he should be put on the same pedestal in my opinion.
Thursday was a very emotional day for me and many others. To be so close to Big Bucks and be able to cheer him up the hill at Cheltenham to this record equalling run was a real privilege. I don't mind admitting that I shed a tear or two of joy. I will always be able to say that I was there...
Well done to the horse and his connections, especially to Ruby Walsh, who rode him in all bar 2 of the victories, and only injury prevented him riding all 16 of them.
So, now we look ahead to Aintree in April or Newbury in November, when Big Bucks will surely break the record. Good luck to all concerned.
