Our part of the country experienced some awful thunderstorms today. A few villages away houses had their roof tiles ripped off.
East Leake flooded in parts as the drains and Kingston Brook were unable to cope with the deluge of water. While I sat working in my office, lightning crackled all around us.
My cricket team should have played their cup final tonight, but the ground was flooded, so that is postponed until next tuesday.
All three of these views of Fox Hill were taken today from my bedroom window.
The one on the left and the one in the middle, were taken 9 minutes apart! The shot on the far right shows our flooded meadow opposite my house. I took the sunset shot with my new wide angle lens with a polarising filter.
Sean, these shots are all stunning for different reasons!.....How wonderful to have such a view from your bedroom window! I am sorry to hear you have suffered with flooding so badly! But these shots are a definate Fav from me! : )
Wonderful photos of the changes you have gone through weather wise today. I saw on the news the flooding & hail stones although we have had rather a lovely day, very warm with much sunshine & only two brief showers. Love the views from your window especially the one on the right.
Holy smokes! Awful weather, wonderful photographic comparison sequence! Great idea for a triptych Sean. I'd say you should frame these three and hang them on your wall, but lucky you, you can just look out your window instead! :)
What great views you have! This series clearly illustrates how it can change in a few minutes or hours, never mind in a whole year, that could be a 365 project in itself!
A bit late commenting!! Time runs away in the summer!! But you haven't got any yet! Amazing the difference in 9 minutes........how awful, ghastly weather you are having, but the reflection in the 3rd makes up for it...maybe!! lovely photos Sean
