Les Paul by seanoneill

Les Paul

Sam brought home a friend's Les Paul tonight, and treated us to an acoustic version of Maximo Park's Books from Boxes,a song that we all love. Funny some accents get lost when singing, but the North East England accent shines through on the youtube video don't you think? A great video by Daniel Wolfe too, some great low key work.

Sam is contemplating making up all his Star Wars lego and selling it on EBay so that he can buy a Fender Stratocaster. I hope he does! A great recycling job, turning Yoda into a Strat.

Elsewhere a very busy day, before a pre-final cricket net this evening. Then on to the Kegworth Youth Achievement Awards tonight where a young man that I nominated won the overall annual award. I am delighted for him and his family. Well done Mitch, top man!

A big weekend of cricket follows, first a group of 18 of us are off to Lord's in London tomorrow for the County final, and my home county Hampshire are one of the teams. Then on sunday my under 13s have their own Leicestershire County Final. I can't wait for both matches!
Great B&W!

The Stratocaster is probably the BEST electric out there...Les Paul's acoustics are priceless...he was something for sure... great shot...fun evening...speaking of accents...have you noticed that when anyone does an American accent they all sound like some sort of version of John Wayne...what's that about? :-D

Great b&w capture - my son has both a Strat and a Les Paul, I have played them both and the Les Paul sounds better (although I think the Strat looks cooler)

Nicely composed/cropped and the B&W does it justice.
