At the annual cricket club presentation last night, we were delighted to achieve family success.
Here are Sam, Ben and Rebecca once we arrived back home, all tired but happy.
Ben won a trophy to celebrate the success of his cricket team this summer, who had won their league, district, district cup and reached the county final. He also shares the Junior Clubman of the Year trophy with his team mates.
Sam was awarded Manager's Player of the Year for captaining his team well and remaining unbeaten in the league, (but losing out on a dodgy technical league ruling), and being the leading wicket taker in his team.
For all her fundraising efforts for the club, along with her friends on the Fundraising committee, Rebecca won Clubman of the Year, a trophy that I held for the previous year.
We had a great night, and I was rather the worse for wear this morning.
It was very satisfying to see my U13 team receive so many awards last night, and to make a speech celebrating their efforts.
What a handsome (and beautiful) talented family you have, you must give many hours to your club. Nice commemorative photo for the family album, well done all the O'Neills!
Congratulations to your lovely family, I must be a bit psychic, after commenting yesterday that you might win it again (or maybe just a bit psycho ?) Lovely family shot, pity someone didn't take one with all of you in it.
@cathy366 Thanks Cathy, I have the perfect face for radio, so I am always better behind the camera. I have only featured once so far this year!! Yes, I think you are psychic, can you tell me what will win the 3-30 race at Newton Abbot later today please ;))
