Rebecca and I have just enjoyed a wonderful yet tiring 36 hours down in London. We managed to get to the Ansel Adams exhibition, a mooch around Canary Wharf, the Manet exhibition at the RA, a Steve McCurry exhibition and to see Rufus Sewell and Kristin Scott-Thomas in Old Times, as well as a few coffee shops and a fantastic slap up steak dinner at Rowley's Steak House on Jermyn Street.
I have always loved this part of London, where the West End shops meet Theatreland. I can remember being mesmerised seeing the pictires of it on TV as a young boy, and I never grow tired of seeing them for real.
I spotted the potential for this shot walking up Haymarket after our dinner. Would you believe it, as I got my camera out the heavens opened and the rain hammered it down.
Thankfully the rain had stopped after our show finished so we popped back to Piccadilly Circus and took a few shots before a long and cold walk through Trafalgar Square, down Whitehall and over Westminster Bridge to our hotel. More in my other albums.
Here are a few links, telling more about Piccadilly Circus and Rowley's Steak House.
Superb colour blocking, works really well here and is a great, different take on this iconic place. So glad you had such a great time, you certainly did a lot!!
