Mere Hill Spinney by seanoneill

Mere Hill Spinney

A lazy day today after getting home at 1am from Wembley last night.

We popped off to the cinema to see Star Trek this afternoon, with a quick diversion via Mere Hill Spinney on the way home.

This one is lovely viewed large

Great shot Sean. I assume those fields are full of yellow flowers? Looks wonderful in B&W for the drama of the sky

I like the way the sky takes up the greater part of the picture,Sean, yet the silhouette of the spinney is the anchor. Is there any detail in that spinney that you can tease out? Just interested in what it might look like and how it would affect the balance, but it is another fine b&w landscape as it is.

@yrhenwr Thanks David, yes there is some detail I have in a shot palnned for a few days time probably. I am a huge fan of Peter heard the painter, and am lucky enough to own his painting called Copses. http://www.peterheard.com/peter/graphic_landscape.html#4
I try to mimic him in some of my shots.
