A quick dash into Nottingham this morning to take my Nikon for a sensor clean and run a few errands.
I have been meaning to take some shots of the tram for some time, this shot is taken in Old Market Square, known locally as Slab Square, because it is a square full of paving slabs!!
@seanoneill they are my youngest favourites. We have the whole collection. Eldest likes their other work. We like them so much they were top of my recommendation list for my little nephew. Talking of stories I must put iPad down and do stories was just showing eldest this one. He said wow it's Nottingham trams.
Eh, there nivver 'ad trams thur when I worra lad! Sorry, Sean, I was suddenly transported back to walking by slab square with my grandad when i was a kid. He would have known the trams but it was trolley buses with their poles forever coming off the overhead wires that I fondly remember! So much about this to like … the perspective, the people gong about their business, the foreground lady looking at you, the shops on Long Row, the sky.. and of course the trams and the Council House dome. Are the lions still there? Fav of course!
A fine urban view that reminds me of San Francisco. The low angle is dramatic with the domed building looking over the shoulder of the tram. And there's that spy camera checking you out... I'm not a cityscape kind of guy, but this deserves a fav.
Wow what a superb pov and so much to take in. Works very well in b and w. Thank you so much for your offer to lend the Fuji for a week, very kind of you, but if your taking shots like this you might miss it too much! fav
