Rebecca and I enjoyed an amazing day together at the Chelsea Flower Show on Thursday, also taking in the David Bailey exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. It was my first ever trip to Chelsea, and I think it will become an annual event for us.
The show was photography heaven!! Lots of people, very proud of their flowers and plants all welcoming the camera with open arms.
I love Alliums, they are my favourite flower. There was a wonderful display of them in the Great Pavilion, and they were so beautifully arranged, I just had to get a shot like this. The colour version is in my 3rd album.
We were at the show at 8am yesterday and got home at 10pm. Then today was a very busy work day before a 3 hour slog in the bank holiday traffic down to the Forest of Dean for the week. I have lots of Chelsea shots and doubtless will take many shots this week as well. I hope to find time to catch up with as many of you as I can.
Much as I love the colour version, this has so much more visual strength to it! You are so lucky to be able to attend, I just buy the DVD each year and drool at home! ;-)
