Today it has hammered it down all day, but we made the most of the day.
A quick trip into Monmouth which is a lovely country town full of independent shops. We spent an enjoyable time browsing in an independent bookshop and Rebecca bought some wool and is currently knitting a cardigan for our neighbours' first baby (boy) who is due while we are away.
That was followed by a wonderful hour at a local Butterfly Farm where the Butterflies were very photogenic and obliging.
I know that Butterflies should be in colour, and I will post the colour version sometime soon, but I think they also work in B+W, particularly if they are predominantly B+W!
Stunning b&w...Rachel @roseolivia did an outstanding b&w butterfly shot this week, too. Who knew they could be so nice. A fav! Sounds like a super day! Happy weekend, Sean!
Exquisite focus and detail Sean..... I don't think I would have considered turning a butterfly into b&w, but it works so well to bring out all the tiny detail without the distraction of colour. Fav.
Came back to comment because I was on a fly-by when I faved.
I love this. The tones are perfect and it was inspired to go for a b&w version. It looks fantastic. Why can't we fav in multiples!
I totally missed this (and so many others). This is amazing!! The detail and the textures are fabulous, as is the b&w choice. Brilliant and fav! And congrats on TT!
very beautiful!!!! FAV! lovely focus, with fabulous dof, and it's nice to see a B&W image of a butterfly... not many here would have the guts to do this! ;)
