The Friday of our week in Northumberland was Rebecca's burthday, and she wanted to go to Holy Island.
For thise who don't know, Holy Island can only be reached by car at low tide, when a causeway is uncovered that you can drive across. You have to keep a close eye on the tide times for getting back!!
Here is a view walking towards Lindisfarne Castle.
I'll post 4 shots, I would be interested in hearing which shot you prefer, if any that is!
oh yes, oh brilliant - you wouldn't know, but there's a ruin up on the Hough with a window that frames the castle. (I spent a week there a few years back, really, really want to return). There's also a foot causeway that's marked by poles that I want to try. And there's Cuddy's Isle too.
I don't know Sean. All fabulous. We holidayed here the last holiday we had when living in Leeds before moving to Gotham. Such a wonderful part of the country. These shots do Holy Island such justice.
