Brighton ~ 8 by seanoneill

Brighton ~ 8

A wider angle shot than many of my others so far.

Rebecca and I are off to London in the morning. We are going to see Kevin Spacey in Clarence Darrow, and a few other things tomorrow and Saturday. I am so looking forward to seeing one of the greatest actors alive today (imho of course)

Thank you to all who have taken time to view my Brighton shots. I am so pleased with the response to them. Long exposure has been such a steep learning curve, but I love the minimalism it presents. A few more shots to come in the next few weeks, and hopefully a few shots from London too.
Beautiful capture and processing, can't wait to see photos from London!

I love this Sean, long sea exposures are very wonderful and this one is a perfect example. One reason I decided to get a digital camera ..

What a great shot. I love the blur of the water and sky with the detail on the structure.

For some reason I associate this picture with 'silence'. Love the silky textures.

Great series, Sean. I like this one best because it seems to me to capture what I feel when I see this pier for real - it's still beautiful in its ruined grandeur and poignant too.

Love this version especially!
Have fun with Spacey, he is a true talent. (Have you seen his impromptu impersonations with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show? Genius!)

Would have loved to see this when we were here in 2013. Maybe we should have a night here this summer. Did you need to stay the night to capture this?

@bella_ss sunrise or sunset would be great for it Sheralee, but you'll need a tripod and 10 stop filter to smooth the sea out and shoot in the hour before and after sunrise or sunset.

@seanoneill Thanks Sean, I will have both my 9 stop ND filter and my tripod with me as it so happens ;-) A night is Brighton sounds good to me!
