@nicholas It is a fabulous place James, I would love to won my own small place there. Lots of Tenby photos in my albums over the last week or two.

It's like a piece of art Sean. That's meant to be complimentary.... depending on what your thoughts are on art / photography..... Anyway I'm enjoying your Tenby series.

@newbank I think you know me Ruth, I am always heartened by any positive comment about my photography, and the more flattering it is the more embarrassed I am in a nice way!

As for art and photography, yes I think photography is an art when it causes a reaction from the viewer or connection between the photographer and the viewer. This means that an individual photo can be seen as art by one person, and not by another. See Tolstoy's "What is art?" for more detail on that!!

So, in short, if you say this is art, it is art, and I happen to agree with you regarding this particular picture. Thank you.

Gorgeous shot, love the B&W :)

Another wonderful long exposure shot Sean. Fav! I agree with Ruth @newbank and, with you (maybe?). I don't know what Tolstoy said, but In the postmodern times, it seems to me that there are two necessary and sufficient conditions: it's art if you say it is and if enough viewers agree.

Superb. Fav.

@yrhenwr Roughly translates as beauty being in the eye of the beholder I think David. TBH I try not to think too much about whether photography is art, I might stop enjoying it so much if I did!

I like how you work a central horizon to such good effect, Sean - not having a central horizon is a tricky 'rule' to break well, I think.
The overall balance of this - tones and composition - is beautiful. Fav.

I think this is quite beautiful. I love the composition. The front softness of the sand and swirl is a great contrast against the strong horizon line. Such good b/w.

Brilliant

Simple but very striking, composition is well thought out with the central horizon and rock on the right. Fav
