After matching this bird with my PNW bird book and online, the name comes up as a Varied Thrush. These birds are hard to photograph since they are fast movers. This shot was taken at Lincoln Park last month.
Fav. A wonderful capture of him. He has lovely plumage. More often than not you sit for hours waiting for a bird to appear and in a second he is there and off again before you have been reached out for the camera.
Awesome! I've only spotted one Varied Thrush this year, and it was dead :( I like to call them the Halloween bird because they always seem to show up in October, and they're orange and black.
