Card class

I didn't get time to post yesterday making cards with members of the local heath and well being lunch club, then had guest arrive who are staying for a couple of nights. This is the second time a friend and myself have made cards with this group. They really enjoy it and go home with something they have achieved.
The group was set up by a village person for the benefit of older people who may not get out a lot or see a lot of people. It is held in our local pub once a month, where they have a two course meal (of smaller portions) then there is usually some form of activity or entertainment. These can range from us showing them how to make cards, musical events, slide shows to little quizzes to keep the mind going.
Oh that sounds wonderful. every little bit helps the seniors and it's great entertainment too.

That sounds like a very worthwhile get together. It is important to engage the elderly and marginalised in social activities :)

@bruni @pyrrhula @dizzyd @hermann @onewing @tonydebont Thank you all for taking the time to comment on my picture. The lunch club is very popular and they can get up to 30 coming sometimes. Some of the older people who aren't very mobile do not get a lot of contact with the outside world so it an opportunity to meet people and have a chat.
