Hanging their heads by shirleybankfarm

Hanging their heads

We had an horrific thunder storm this afternoon with very heavy rain and hail. When it had passed us by I noticed this bunch of Oxeye daises had all hung their heads with the battering of hail. This morning they all had there heads held high gazing at the sun.
it has been unbearably hot and sunny over me all day again, yet it seems everywhere else people are having rain and thunder! This is a lovely capture!

I thought they were wilting in the heat but they probably enjoyed a bit of rain. We had a mild rain shower only and back to heat though at a more comfortable level. Very pretty.

Sounds like a wild storm, they will be standing tall and proud when the warmth of the sun arrives I hope :)

@roachling @callymazoo @pyrrhula @hermann @joannakate @bruni @tonydebont @onewing @365projectlinda @peterlgrave @gaylewood @gilbertwood @julienne1 Thank you all for your comments and fav's. The daisies all had there heads turned to the sun again today. They faired a lot better than my poppies which all had their petals knocked off by the hailstones yesterday.

You're certainly catching the weather again. Poor old moon daisies but I expect their heads are back up by now.
