I broke down and cut the grass for the first time this season. As I was riding around the yard on my mower I was hoping the light would hold out so I could grab a couple photos in a low light setting and before it got dark. I cranked up the ISO so I could increase the aperture for more DoF.
@skipt07 an acre is definitely worthy of a sit on - our neighbour has one - I think he would only be late 30's early 40's - and he only has the front lawn to mow which would be about 250 square feet if that - I giggle
@annied - I am somewhat older than him. I bought the rider because it takes me an hour and a half to two hours to cut and trim. When we bought the house I couldn't afford a riding mower so I cut it with a push mower the first year. We splurged and bought a rider the second year. I am spoiled!
I love the effect you've created with this low light photography, how it feels "cozy" and gentle. It made me smile to think of you riding around on a lawn mower, taking photos.
