April 10th marked my first time having a stress test. This one required a dye injection, therefore, an IV was required. The hospital seemingly made a test that should have taken 3 hours into a 6-hour event.
Thank dear friends for your kind comments!
I was told in February that the test would take place on the 10th of April but I wasn't told at what time. On Friday the 7th we got home and found a message on our answering machine that I was to be at the hospital at 8 am, to wear comfortable clothing, and to be prepared to be there for up to 6 hours. It was almost 6 hours to the minute. As of yet I haven't received my results. I think it will be fine due to the fact that I had an echo-cardiogram done when I was in the hospital in January and nothing was found. This was a follow up to my surgery in January.
I am beginning to think that the hospital needed a few extra dollars.
I jokingly told my doctor that I have enough stress in my life that I didn't need to walk 3.5 miles an hour up a 20 degree incline to experience stress! I guess he didn't agree with me.
