i was debating whether i should eat the apple already or give it a stay for one more day. i opted for ice cream instead.
i apologize if in the past i have posted something similar but i'm drawing blank for ideas and i'm lazy to set up a northy shot. i was going to emulate james' fujiguy whisky and glass shot but that would've involved more work than a northy shot. in the end i grabbed the books, the watch was just lying around. threw in the apple and a feather. then thought and thought of a clever title.
This is funny to me because often my students will spontaneously bring me apples, often a leftover from lunch that they decide teacher really needs. Somehow it is one stereotypical idea that survives that my grandmother and granddaughter would both recognize
You were debating ice cream or an apple???? That's a no-brainer IMHO, ice cream wins every time. Added to which the ice-cream would've dripped all over your rather good still life had you used that instead of the apple.
Very old school, but apparently according to @pandorasecho kids still give Apple's to their teachers. I did love watching the video link about photographing I've cream posted by @kali66. I am sure we will see this by someone in the future. I didn't know about the game ice cream.
How great to see Clark Gable and to hear that song again! Good for you for eating the ice cream instead of the Apple. One, life's too short Eat ice cream! Two, it gave you a beautiful subject for this fabulous photo. I don't remember seeing one from you like this before and even if it was similar I'm sure it was not exactly the same. The low-key effect is brilliant I'm going to give this one a FAV
Today was a day for icecream in the UK. The vans started appearing, and even queues, as we had a sudden transformation into a summery day. All I could think was "shall I compare thee to a summer's day".
I do rather like your scholarly composition - which doesn't look lazy at all. Are you still stuck indoors?

but this is the best way to photograph ice cream https://365project.org/summerfield/365-still/2017-10-14
