Since I've already posted the red version and white version of Trillium grandiflorum, I went hunting for the pink version to show that one off too. They're close to being finished in the woods around our house, so I almost missed it for this year. It doesn't have the cool leathery look of the red, nor the clean lines of the white but it's pretty none the less. There are varying degrees of pinkness from plant to plant and even from petal to petal. I'm still watching for trilliums with more than three petals. They're considered collector's items by some avid gardeners.
Thanks very much for dropping by. I read and appreciate each and every bit of feedback.
wonderful. years ago, i came very close to a blanket of white trillium when i used to live at a farm in brantford. and i just loved gazing at them. until i saw your album, i didn't know that there are other colours of this flower. i like it.
This is lovely... but I think my favorite is that red one.. of course, coming from someone that CHOSE to be a redhead (erre... did I say that out loud??? LOL.. now more than just my hair dresser knows).. I would love the read. Beautiful shot Anne!!!
