"I'm a Tree!"

We've been squeezing in as many boat rides as we can to make the best of the last of the warm summer days and the last couple of times out, we've seen this Blue Heron, perched on a log, motionless as we drive by. She/he thinks we cant see her if she stay's perfectly still! Very cool to see. Not so easy to photograph from a bobbing boat.

beautiful shot. i caught (in camera) one of this and i was in doubt whether it was real or a statue because it never moved the whole time i was shooting it. but it looked so real, kinda like what this here is doing. maybe it's thinking, "if i pretend to be a tree they will leave me alone."
